Abstract. The purpose of the study was to determine the peculiarities of the discursive method when it is applied in linguistic expertise practice. The method is considered a special type of the text interpretation as it allows to diagnose the nationalist-and-extremist orientation of the text. Discourse analysis includes a number of procedures which are consistently carried out, the most important among mentioned procedures are: 1) selection of the most important semantic components of the text; 2) identification among them of those charged with the modus of rejection and hostility; 3) assessment of language structures for the delict content in them; 4) justification of delict presence in statements, which is based on the analysis of the structure of the speech situation in case of delict detection. Thus, the expertise discourse analysis is the determination of those peculiarities in the selection and combination of language means that form the conflictogenicity of the text modus. Such a modus is formed with expression of dislike and hatred to another nation, affirming the idea of the exclusivity of one's own nation, and encouraging aggressive actions, which are expressed by the impelling compositional forms of appeal, proclamation, instruction, advice, warning, demand, threat. Each of the forms is characterized by its own configuration of ways and means. The author of the article analyzed two cases with conflictogenic texts. In the first case, discourse analysis confirmed the presence of delict, in the second case its absence was demonstrated.
