Abstract. The article deals with the relevant problems of categorial text modeling and text formation in the context of sacredness as a fundamental category of religious mind. With intertextuality theory approach the religio-philosophical text is analyzed, the latter being defined as an intertext, a form of positive philosophical conceptualization of sacredness. The algorithm of language analysis that embraces semantic and structural organization of the text under study is suggested. The research into its semantics is concerned with the analysis of: a) language means representing sacred knowledge; b) language means representing philosophical categories in the context of which sacredness is studied. The religio-philosophical text structure reflects ontology of rational cognitive activity carried out on the border of religion and philosophy. 'Compositional pragmatic segment' is analyzed as a structural unit of the text type under discussion ('problem history,' 'setting aim (objectives),' 'argumentation,' and 'conclusion'). The research results show that unlike scientific communication religio-philosophical text structure is deprived of such segments as 'scientific hypothesis,' 'experiment,' and 'scientific forecast.' It is proved that gnoseological heterogeneousness of religio-philosophical knowledge (sacred and philosophical) preconditions the absence of the segment 'proofs' and its actualization within 'argumentation' segment. The mentioned structural specificity is explained by the impossibility of verifying and falsifying sacred knowledge.
