Abstract. The article gives the definition of discourse, deals with the methodological basics of using the discourse analysis and proposes new method of analyzing journalistic texts. This method consists of consecutive and interconnected description of discourse-forming categories, such as chronotope (place and time of discourse), ideological concepts, implemented in opposite pairs, agents and clients, forming dialogical feature of discourse. This complex method allows correct identification of the ideological content of discourse in intercultural communication.
