Abstract. The development of methodology for semantic interpretation of texts of different types is one of the most pressing problems of modern linguistics. This is due to the need to solve the problems of understanding between people and the effectiveness of communication based on textual activity. Despite the existence of different methods, the identification of the deep meaning of texts of different types requires further study according to the new communicative-and-cognitive scientific paradigm. Poetic texts deserve special attention due to their imagery and aesthetic function. The identification of the superficial and deep meaning of poetic texts is carried out by analyzing their regulative nature and the theory of textual associations developed in communicative stylistics, applying the methods of semantic-and-stylistic and contextual analysis, as well as receptive experiment. The article describes the initial thesis and features of text associations and text regulation theories within communicative-activity approach. The stages of using these theories in the analysis of primary and secondary textual activity are defined, the methodology for studying poetic text, aimed at identifying its aesthetic meaning, is specified. The analysis procedure includes the specification of the regulatory means and structures used by the author, the modelling of the textual associative-and-semantic fields stimulated by them and their interrelationships in the lexical macrostructure of the text, and the definition of the hyperconcept as a result of the reader's interpretative activity. The methodology is shown using poems by F.I. Tyutchev and N.A. Zabolotsky. The experiment resulted in establishing the dependence of the reader's ability to feel the subtext and deep meaning of the poetic text on the ability/inability to perceive the semantic centers actualized in the poem. It is shown that the keywords used in it serve as important milestones in stimulating the reader's associative activity, on the basis of which an idea of the aesthetic content of the text and its theme is formed. The proposed approach to poetic text analysis based on theories of textual associations and regulativity as a systemic quality of the text enables further development of methodology for semantic interpretation of texts of different types.
Key words: methods of analysis, poetic text, communicative stylistics, theory of textual associations, theory of regulation, superficial meaning, deep meaning.
