Abstract: the author considers various means of contrast expressing as a composite-stylistic principle in "Two-part stories" by A.I. Solzhenitsyn. The key elements of comparison and opposition devices are established on the basis of the lexico-semantic specifics of common and occasional verbs and nouns; ways of the author's position realization, as well as image creation devices are pointed out.
