Abstract. The article is devoted to identification of the normalizing mode in dual forms use (free, distributive, connected, semi-connected, congruent, dual in constructions with two names) and the postposition of radi / děl'a, which were considered by St. Nilus of Sora when editing the hagiographies of St. Athanasius the Athonite, of St. Onuphrius the Great, St. Theodore the Studite and St. Nicholas the Studite. A comparison of the hagiographic texts in the autograph of St. Nilus of Sora with the established main antigraphs showed that the corrections made by Elder Nilus are of a strict systemic nature. Basic principles of editing duality contexts have been described in detail. It is revealed that the basic principle of St. Nilus of Sora editing of hagiographies at the grammatical level is the synthesis of the normalization guidelines developed in the Athos book centers and the ideas of Russian scribes about the grammatical norm of hagiographic sources that were formed in the second half of the 15 th century. While using the postposition radi / děl'a Nilus focused mainly on the syntactic norm of the new South Slavic translations of the 13 th – 14 th centuries, the language of which is characterized by the use of syntactic Greekism – a pretext radi.

Key words: hagiography, translated hagiographies, main antigraph, autograph, St. Nilus of Sora, Church Slavonic language, grammar norm, dual.
