Abstract: means of impersonality as a universal category in Slavic languages are viewed in a figurative function, peculiar to linguistic units in poetry; the author determines their role in poems' artistic content, describes semantically stylistic potential of word forms with impersonal meaning and analyses ways of their use determined by the aesthetic effect function.
