Abstract: the article dwells on the peculiarities of the lexical categorization of time representations in the regional toponymicon. Having analyzed the toponymical corpus with the stems стар- and нов-, the author suggests the double-pole character of the time category in the toponymic world map, as well as the specific realization of the metrological marker of the relative time orientation in the regional toponymicon due to the country events.
