Abstract: the article describes the micro field of necessity within the framework of functional-semantic category of modality based on authentic scientific texts that are published in the Russian and Polish languages. Common features and specifications of the mentioned above modal meaning expression are determined in this article; the focus-on-issues are the typical characteristic features of functioning of Russian modal explicators and their Polish equevalents.
