Abstract: the paper identifies and analyzes some representative verbal sets of strategies of a womanwriter that manifest themselves at different levels of the whole text; the author describes their cognitive and communicative properties. The theoretical conclusions are illustrated by means of investigations
based on the works by the modern Russian woman-writer A. Durso.
