Abstract: the article deals with the question of representation of the concept of nonintervention in English. Indifferently colored lexical items are represented as lexical-semantic field, nuclear and peripheral zones of which are fetched out taking into account the grade of actualization of semantic segment in question. The level of neutrality of nonintervention index in the context of axiology is reflected.
