Abstract: the article describes delimitatives that function in the informants' speech of the Medveditsa subdialect within the Don dialectal group of the Volgograd Oblast. It also shows that on the one hand, dialects preserve some archaic features; on the other hand, they demonstrate some new ones (both intra-dialectal and determined by the influence of the colloquial variant of the literary language).
