Abstract: the attempt of the description of sounding features of modern official language is undertaken. The supersegment properties of official pronouncing style and its intonation and sound characteristics, such as norms of pronunciation, specifics of a speech stream's partitioning, features of pauses, tempo, intensity of pronouncing, the most frequency types of intonational constructions are established.

Key words: official style of pronouncing, phonostyle, extralinguistic properties, intonation and sound organization, syntagmatic partitioning, type of an intonation construction, place of the intonation construction center, pause.
