Abstract: this article deals with investigating "pronominal phatics" as the pragmatic function of the English personal and possessive pronouns in the texts of the tourist advertising discourse. The author clarifies the intentions of handling the English personal and possessive pronouns, and sets the communication functions in an advertising text.
