Abstract: the article deals with one of the significant concepts of a modern German linguistic world-image – Russland (Russia) and some characteristics of this concept. In the structure of the concept of Russland in the German linguistic world-image there are the following main characteristics: 'enemy', 'rival', 'competitor', 'friend', 'great energy power', 'the central and indispensable partner', 'future of Europe' and etc.
