Abstract: this article is devoted to the main tendencies of transmission of texts published in intellectual magazines from publicistic to fiction: the reduction of the role (or the lack) of newsbreak and the narrativization of text. Types of narratives embodied in publications on the Russkaya zhizn' website are also described: individual, hyperrealistic and calquing. Some peculiarities of intellectual magazines' target audience are revealed.
