Abstract: the article studies the split-level rhythm-forming means of modern orthodox sermon, defines their hierarchic relations and describes the principles of the rhythmic organization within pastoral address. The special attention is given to identification of extent of participation of rhythmic means in expressing the pastoral address' semantic and notional components.
