Abstract. The article examines the objectification of the phenomenon glubinka in various texts, both fiction and non-fiction. Glubinka is characterized as an image with a complex structure comprised of constitutive (significant) and distinctive (specific) features. The following are distinguished as constitutive features: spatial-territorial characteristics, actional-existential characteristics, attributive-objective characteristics, characteristics of the subject, characteristics of non-centrality. Distinctive features indicate the administrative and geographical affiliation, distance from the conventional center, the subject's way of life in the given territory, its social status, age, multidirectional movement, events, social and material objects, attributes of the subject's way of life, territories, opposition and comparison with the center. Similarities and differences in the representation of the phenomenon of glubinka in various texts are identified. Fiction texts record a certain degree of idealization of the hinterland, they portray a static, unchanging character. Evaluative qualifiers are often used as means of objectification. In non-fiction texts, the locational attachment of events and activities is expressed (mainly northern territories and beyond the Urals), as is the forced pendulum movement, not only the opposition to the center, but also the juxtaposition of glubinka and the center. The phenomenon of stereotyping is described: stereotypes about glubinka are associated with lifestyle, traditions, a specific subject, and nature, in particular, in fiction, stereotypes are largely characterized by ambivalence.
