Abstract. The relevance of the topic is determined by its connection with the primary communicative-and-discursive approach, within which the analysis of poetic grammar in the elegies of Ye.A. Boratynsky and A.S. Pushkin is presented exemplified by personal pronouns. The object of the analysis is the new meaning of the pronominal opposition ty (2nd person, singular; you) – vy (2nd person, singular, polite; You). It is concisely expressed in Pushkin's poem Ty and vy: "the heartfelt you" is functionally opposed to "the empty You" as being determined by the comprehension and perception of the work on the whole. The subject of the analysis is the poetics of the use of the pronouns ty (you) and vy (You). The purpose is to disclose their contextual opposition in relation to a single person, which differs from their systemic grammatical opposition based on number. It has been established that in the context of Pushkin's poem, the personal perception of the transition to ty (you) is represented, determined by the emotional and psychological interaction of I in relation to the addressee (ty – you, vy – You). The poetic semanticization of pronouns is determined by the functional referential meanings of I, you, You (the author, the lyrical hero, the beloved as the addressee, etc.) obtained within the framework of the poetic text. Based on a contextual analysis of the poems by Pushkin and Boratynsky, both of which are entitled "Recognition," common and distinctive characteristics of the pronouns usage have been identified. It is concluded that Boratynsky's love lyrics present Pushkin's perception, primarily in relation to the pronouns ty (you) and vy (You), addressing the beloved one.
