Abstract. This article examines the use of means that express the functional-and-semantic category (FSC) of the in-personality of the Russian verb, the formation of which is substantiated in the works of N.A. Tupikova based on the linguistic concept of Professor Sofia Petrovna Lopushanskaya, the founder of the Volgograd school of Glagolists. The material for consideration is a set of word usages recorded during dialectological interviews with informants in the Volgograd region that reflect the specific features of the ethnolinguistic continuum that has developed in the region. From the standpoint of the methodological principles of the functional-and-semantic approach to describing multi-level means of representing categorical semantics, the features of the infinitive and impersonal verb usages are summarized. These verbs possess the status of constituents of the field structure of the FSC of in-personality, capable of conveying in context the meaning of varying degrees of participation of the person – the bearer of the predicative feature – in the described events. Parameters for the implementation of this synthesizing property of the analyzed word forms, relevant to the speech of dialect speakers, were identified within the gradation "high – medium – low – zero." The collected data identified models for expressing the relationship between an action (state) and the subject of the action (state), which does not have the status of a subject. These models, in their specific content, can be classified as ethnolinguistic stereotypes that serve as relevant ways of denoting various aspects of traditional folk culture for representatives of the Don Cossacks.
