Abstract. The article is devoted to identifying speech tactics and their linguistic markers used by authors in the headlines of news feed articles for immersive impact on the reader. The scientific novelty of the article lies in introducing into pragmalinguistics the term immersion, which is understood as a phenomenon of the modern media sphere based on the use of techniques aimed to influence the addressee for commercial purposes (to increase the statistics of resource visits); it results in a decrease of critical understanding of information and immersion in the process of perceiving a series of pseudo-facts. The terminological units of immersiveness and speech tactic of immersiveness are defined. To identify the methods of such influence on the reader, the author of the article analyzes the headlines of news articles on everyday topics (medicine, psychology, forecasts of the geomagnetic situation, and reports on discoveries), published in 2024 on the Zen platform. The conducted research allowed to describe the speech tactic of immersiveness and identify five main variants of this tactic, which are implemented in news headlines: discovery, exposure, prediction, hint at conflict, and commentary on visual material. The linguistic markers distinguished via analysis show the presence of a specific set of means that indicates each of the tactics and the reasons that lead to the reduction of immersiveness while composing headlines. The double delayed survey of the respondents testifies to the stability of the identified impact. Based on the data obtained, the author of the article suggests that immersiveness can be characterized as a separate type or principle of communication.

Key words: headline, news article, immersive communication, speech tactics of immersiveness, language markers of immersiveness, pragmalinguistics.
