Abstract. This article attempts to create the typology of didactems as special units of alien-culture and foreign language knowledge translation in the process of training and education. The author gives the definition of the selected type of signs, describes the types of didactems according to the principles of linguosemiotic approach to the didactic communication analysis and states the functions of linguodidactical discource. The article classifies the linguodidactical discource among others, claiming to dominate in terminological research and educational space communication. The article suggests the typology of identified discursive units, sets patterns of their structural interconnection. Three broad hyper types of didactems are identified: nonverbal (purely semiotic) didactems, verbal (linguosemiotic) didactems and ethnic and sociocultural didactems of verbal and nonverbal character (didactems-ethnems). Each hyper-type includes didactic group types, each of which includes units of varying degree functionality; they are responsible for relevant instructional activities and are actualized in the discourse as signs, symbols, icons and logos; signs and nominations at the different levels of language and speech; signs and nominations of ethnic and sociocultural character.
